Kirt M. Rebello

Kirt Rebello is a native of Dartmouth, Massachusetts which is located in the historically rich Southcoast region. He holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts (Magna Cum Laude) and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society for business. He also holds an associates degree in Electronics Technology from the University of Phoenix and is a past member of the Institutes for Management Consultants and Supply Chain Management.

His organizational management, public relations management, and marketing experiences have been with a wide range of organizations from all across the country, ranging from small operations with local exposure to large entities with national exposure. His business philosophies are grounded in common sense and “best practice” solutions, coupled with a persistence in recognizing the many external factors that affect a situation but are often overlooked.

Kirt was as a founding member of the nationwide nonprofit organization, Homes for Our Troops, Inc.(www.homesforourtroops.org), which donates specially adapted homes to severely injured Veterans. As the Director of Projects and Veterans Affairs, and then Vice President and Chief Projects Officer of Homes For Our Troops, Inc. (HFOT), he helped direct and grow the organization from shortly after its inception to its current, nationwide presence. For the first four years of its existence, he lead the effort in creating the organization’s structure; writing the organization's operational policies and procedures; managing the application and selection process for Veterans; hiring employees; and managing several direct reports in leading thousands of volunteers and contractors across the country in the construction and donation of specially adapted homes.

His position at HFOT also included: conducting and managing the solicitations of donated materials, services and funding needed to construct the homes across the country; coordinating construction schedules with volunteers, small businesses and large corporations across the country; creating and managing special events across the country, to include creating the "Build Brigade" event; working closely with local and national media to raise the awareness of the homes being constructed and HFOT's mission; and speaking regularly at public events across the country. Kirt also served on the Board of Directors as a founding board member and in his spare time began managing the construction of homes in early 2005. He served on the Board from from June 2004 to December 2005.

Prior to Kirt’s involvement with HFOT he served in several administrative, supervisory and managerial positions. Kirt's career began with 12 years of service in the United States Marine Corps and, upon his return home, he held several positions with industrial companies in the Southcoast region. Each position Kirt has held has had the common thread of being in a fast-paced environment, and in each case his balance of creativity, thorough analysis and common sense approaches have allowed him to exceed the expectations of his employers.

Kirt's hobbies included building antique custom cars, custom sheet metal fabrication and boating. He currently lives in Dartmouth with his wife and two sons.
